The length of time and the manner or location of service is altogether a matter of the Lord’s leading and the fellowship in the Body. Although the expectation is that FTTA-XB will lead to a life of service, full-time service is not a prerequisite to participation.

At the current time, applications are being received from the current FTTA trainees due to graduate. However, applications are also welcomed and encouraged from those who have graduated from FTTA in the past 5 years.

There are many options that a trainee might consider after completion of FTTA-XB, including: service in their sending locality or elsewhere, return to school, taking a job, etc. However, Brother Lee’s vision of a training to be conducted in Boston was in connection with the Lord’s move to Europe. Therefore, the hope is that a number of trainees would prayerfully consider this option and migrate to Europe as the Lord leads.

Similar to what we have experienced in the Anaheim area, there is a sweet blending between the trainees and the churches and campus team in the Boston area. The campus work is handled as one work, including coordination between the trainees and the campus team. The presence of the trainees does not diminish the need or importance of the team that is already there. In addition, the trainees will learn to go in and go out among God’s people through their fellowship with the saints in the 3 churches in the immediate area: Boston, Cambridge, and Newton.

Medical insurance is required as it is in Anaheim. Trainees may use any insurance that is available to them, such as that used by their family. However, the commonwealth of Massachusetts offers programs at minimal or no cost to consumers based on income. More information is available through https://www.mahealthconnector.org. If a trainee has a vehicle, it will be useful. However, public transportation is excellent and meets most travel needs. The training provides a monthly pass for use on the public train and bus system.

The training does not qualify for student loan deferments. A trainee who currently has outstanding federal student loans may apply for an Economic Hardship Deferment or request Forbearance, as both of these typically defer both the principal and any interest that will accrue over the tenure of their time in the Training. If the trainee does not receive either the Economic Hardship deferment or Forbearance, they are still eligible for the Graduate Fellowship Deferment. While the requirements regarding employment and financial verifications may make the Graduate Fellowship Deferment easier to attain, a trainee’s loan may still continue to accrue interest. FTTA is not accredited and does not possess an OPE-ID#. Trainees should contact their lenders directly for more information.

FTTA-XB is not currently able to facilitate applications for visas, though this may change in the coming years.
